Tax deductible donations to DAV Chapter #1 provide support for our local service offices and programs in Tacoma - Pierce County and Western Washington.

This DAV Chapter is managed entirely by volunteers and 100% of all donations from the public are spent on providing free direct service to veterans and surviving family members. These donations pay the cost of maintaining our office, phones, supplies and training our unpaid volunteer service officers to maintain the best service possible.
Department Service Programs in Washington include our VAN Transportation Program and our DAV Department Service Offices at the VA hospitals at American Lake, Walla Walla and Spokane.

The DAV National Service Foundation develops financial resources for the assistance, aid, maintenance, care, support and rehabilitation of sick and injured veterans and their dependents, either directly or by contributions to the service programs of the DAV National Organization or its Departments and Chapters.

The DAV Charitable Service Trust supports physical and psychological rehabilitation programs that provide direct service to ill, injured, or wounded veterans.
The Trust accepts gifts through workplace giving campaigns, including the Combined Federal Campaign and United Way, employee matching gift programs, and similar special giving arrangements, and provides a variety of direct services for America’s sick and injured veterans.

We have DAV Service Offices located all over Washington and nationwide.
DAV employs over 500 veteran men and women across the country and every one of them has wartime service connected VA ratings.
On top of that, hundreds of DAV volunteers donate thousands of hours helping veterans every year.
DAV volunteer drivers transport hundreds of veterans with door-to-door service from home to the VA appointments and back again.
